Team UroCatch’s Global Health Travel to Uganda and Colombia

October 12, 2025

We are so excited to show you all some of what our CBID ’26 class has been up to! Here is a peak into our team UroCatch’s trips globally this summer! They recently travelled to Uganda, and Colombia to better understand the situation internationally that they are aiming to address.

They have spent an incredible amount of time and exerted due diligence in setting traps in local villages, and imaging mosquitos. During this period of time, they ended up altering versions of their traps, and optimizing their entire data collection process. We are incredibly proud of them, and wish them the best of luck this oncoming school year, as they have returned Baltimore, and are ready to keep moving forwards!

We hope that these experiences and opportunities are ones which will change not only the way that they view the world on an international scale, but change the way that they problem solve, delegate, and work as engineers in new locations! Take a look at their pictures attached below!

If you are interested in being a part of CBID and accessing these experiences, you can apply through our website, or access upcoming information sessions, so you can formally learn more about CBID. https://lnkd.in/eYtZES5S
