Master’s level students in the Whiting School of Engineering’s Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design are reporting from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, India, and China as they explore health care delivery in different environments.

The three-week trip is part of the CBID program’s innovative partnership with Jhpiego, a global health nonprofit affiliated with Johns Hopkins. When the students return, they will begin work on medical device projects that address some of the most critical health issues in low-resource settings.
