SinuStim Wins at 2025 Baylor New Venture Competition

May 1, 2025

CBID is proud to announce that SinuStim; co-founded by Oriol Cuxart Pérez, and Sandhya Tiku (CBID ’24) has received 3rd place at the 2025 Baylor New Venture Competition! 🎊 We are so proud of their hard work and impressive achievement.

Since its inception, more than 600 student entrepreneurs world-wide have applied to compete in the Baylor New Venture Competition. This competition provides competitors with mentorship specific to their industrial future, access to a network of accomplished innovators within and outside of their respective fields, and a chance to compete for more than $200,000 in cash prizes and vital resources.

SinuStim is a neuro-modulation device targeted at patients that suffer from Chronic Rhino-sinusitis (CRS), an inflammatory condition of the sinuses and nasal passages. This novel device approaches CRS by reducing neural overstimulation in the nasal cavity for clear breathing.

With their recent win, we at CBID are incredibly excited to see the next steps for SinuStim at improving treatment methodology for all struggling with CRS!
