Victory for Innovation: SinuStim Takes Top Prize at ARS Summer Sinus Symposium

July 25, 2025

We are so incredibly excited to highlight the CBID team SinuStim for their recent first place victory at the American Rhinologic Society Summer Sinus Symposium Shark Tank! CBID students Sandhya Tiku and Oriol Cuxart Pérez represented SinuStim at this event, and delivered a pitch for the startup’s novel innovation in Chronic Rhinosinusitis.

At this Shark Tank Symposium, SinuStim had a chance to pitch their product and receive judgement based on feasibility, innovation and potential clinical/scientific impact. SinuStim received first place at this event! Through this experience, their depiction of the company’s vision, appeal to an educated audience, and novel innovation has earned SinuStim the prize of $10,000 in funding.

We are so proud of this recent victory. In lieu of their success, the team at CBID highly encourages all students excited about their own potential to participate in healthcare design, to check out the one-year-intensive masters program at JHU CBID, as we are entering the season to apply!
