CBID Abell Fellows for 2025-26

May 1, 2025

CBID is incredibly excited to announce the CBID ’25 Abell Fellows! Each year, fellows are chosen based on what potential their projects hold, and their ability to display such.

This year’s fellows are:

Sabrina Zhou

Saardhak Bhrugubanda

Natasha Mody

Jay Tailor

Santiago Sanchez

Sofía García

The Abell Fellowship allows students to focus on building a new venture, based around the concept they developed during their first year with CBID. The second-year fellowship allows students to continue moving forward with their innovative solution with the ultimate goal of commercialization. Fellow recipients are given a grad-student salary, space and supplies, and mentorship from esteemed engineers.

This is a huge accomplishment and reflection of the hard work these fellows have put into the improvement of modern medicine. We are so proud to highlight the CBID Abell Fellows, and spotlight their success in any way possible.
