slide_projects_2012_jhu3398Design Day is an annual all-day celebration of innovation in the service of human health. Over 20 teams of Johns Hopkins engineers, clinicians, scientists, and business experts will present high potential solutions to some of the worlds more pressing healthcare challenges. The program includes a few formal presentations on projects, many prototype displays and posters, “People’s Choice” Awards (decided by you!), an inspirational keynote address by a proven leader in medical innovation, and, of course, great food!

This year’s keynote speaker, Jonathan Rothberg, PhD, founder of CuraGen, 454 Life Sciences, and Ion Torrent, will speak on “Sequenced genes of many species, from Man to Neanderthal, Honey Bee to Wooly Mammoth.”
